The Benji Project offers an eight-week program called "Making Friends with Yourself" that offers stress management and resiliency training to teens using mindfulness and self-compassion.
The program is aimed at ages 11-to 19 and their parents. "Making Friends with Yourself" shares specific tools to build greater resilience. In research, this program demonstrated a significant decrease in depression, anxiety, perceived stress and negative mood.
The Benji Project is training local individuals to lead programs and is working to make classes available to all teens in Jefferson County, especially more boys. We need financial support and volunteers. If you are interested, please get in touch.
